God is the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 KJV). There is nothing that has happen to you that took God by surprise. Know beloved God was with you even in the mist of your pain. It is through that pain God will get the glory. How long has it been since you experienced the pain from your traumatic event? Is the pain as new as a year ago or as twenty? The pain from this event has caused a sense of grief & loss which leaves you feeling empty inside. You try to ignore the pain by going on with everyday life only to realize that the elephant is still standing in the room.
